Dining with a Scottish Flair
Lakewood Ranch -- Malcolm and Karen Ronney brought a bit of their native country to Lakewood Ranch's newest shopping district last week. Invited guests sampled Scottish cuisine and heard bagpipers and singers during a VIP event at MacAllisters Restaurant, 8110 Lakewood Ranch Main Street. Larry Jacobs and Gary Reinstrom welcomed guests with their bagpipe serenade at the grand opening party.
Lunch and dinner items at the historical Scottish golf-themed eatery include burgers, seafood, pasta, grilled chicken and steaks, wraps, salads and sandwiches. Traditional Scottish items include fish and chips, steak pie, salmon steak, Cullen Skink chowder and haggis. Opening day to the public was Tuesday. For more information, call 359-2424.
